Marine Corps Recruiter Staff Sgt. Patrick McIntyre, Recruiting Substation Hartford, Conn., closes in on his target while civilian teammate Michael J. Kaliss, a Meriden, Conn. native provides rear security during a paintball evolution involving local disc jockeys, Marine Corps recruiters, and listeners of a local radio station Rock 106.9 WCCC.  The event held at Hogan’s Alley Paintball Field, Meriden, Conn. on May 22, was organized to promote the Hartford’s radio station Rock 106.9 WCCC and the Marine recruiters ongoing relationship with the radio station.  Marine Recruiters have worked with the radio station in the past in such big name events as the X-Games.  Radio listeners called in to win a spot to participate with the Marines and disc jockeys.  There were two teams, each consisting of one Marine, two DJs, and three contest winners. Events such as this help recruiters to build positive relations and visibility in the community.
