The mission of the Officer Selection Officer (OSO) is to commission fully trained officer candidates to the grade of second lieutenant. OSOs accomplish this by attaining annual missions to include; submission, shipping, and induction at Officer Candidate School (OCS), for the Platoon Leaders Class (PLC) program by component/year group, and category [e.g. PLC 15 Air (PLC 15A)] and the Officer Candidate’s Course (OCC) program by component/class, and category [e.g. OCC 217 Air (OCC 217A)].
