Lt. Col. Scotty Black, a Marine Officer currently attending the Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey, California, speaks with high school students at the National Junior Science and Humanities Symposium (NJSHS) in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Apr. 21, 2022. Black was a guest speaker and panel judge at the NJSHS, which is a Tri-Service program that encourages students to conduct original research in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). The NJSHS was sponsored by the Department of the Navy's Historically Black Colleges & Universities / Minority Institutions (HBCU/MI) Program, and provided a great opportunity for the Marine Corps to engage with and educate high-caliber students about the Marine Corps and its many opportunities.
