Sergeant Edward Aguirre, an operations clerk for the Marine Corps Recruiting Command, performs his Combat Fitness Test (CFT) at Barnett Field on Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia, November 7, 2017. Marines must perform a CFT every year, composed of a 880-yard sprint, ammunition can lifts for two minutes, and a simulated maneuver-under-fire, where Marines complete combat-related obstacles. Marine Corps Bulletin 6100 announced that Marines may retake the CFT as many times as they wish in order to improve their scores from July through December.
