Members of the Silent Drill Platoon perform as part of the Sunset Parade in Arlington, Va., June 20, 2017. Collegiate educators came to the parade as part of the week-long Officer Selection Officers’ Educators’ and Key Leaders’ Workshop. During the engagement, the attendees learned about officer programs for their students, conducted patrols, negotiated the Leadership Reaction Course and experienced several other events. The purpose of the workshop is to create mutually beneficial relationships between the educators and the Marine Corps so the collegiate leaders can share their knowledge with their students based on first-hand experiences.
