HOUSTON, Texas - Captain David S. Greenberg, the executive officer of Recruiting Station Houston, along with Sergeant Mina Mechreki, a canvassing recruiter with Recruiting Sub-Station Humble, Recruiting Station Houston, present Michelle Mathews with her Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps Scholarship check during the Kingwood High School awards ceremony. Mathews was one of 11 recipients in Houston selected to receive the NROTC scholarship. Selected applicants for the NROTC Scholarship Program are awarded through a highly competitive national selection process, and receive full tuition, books stipend, educational fees and other financial benefits at many of the country's leading colleges and universities.
