This year’s theme is “Advancing Leaders through Collaboration” which aligns with the Marine Corps through the values we hold most. The “Barefoot Marines” was a Samoan reserve unit founded in 1941 and dismantled at the end of the summer of 1945. (U.S. Marine Corps Graphic by Lance Cpl. Jennifer Sanchez)
