U.S. Marine Corps Maj. Gen. Walker M. Field, commanding general of Marine Corps Recruiting Command, left, speaks to members of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics during a visit to Officer Candidate School on Marine Corps Base Quantico, Va., April 13, 2026. Field gave opening remarks, introducing the attendees to the Marine Corps, explaining opportunities as well as answering questions they had about the organization. NACDA serves as the professional association for those in the field of athletics administration, providing educational opportunities and serves as a vehicle for networking and the exchange of information to others in the profession. The Marine Corps seeks to connect with athletic directors, so they return to their schools and communities better equipped to tell the Marine Corps story, ultimately becoming cornerstone advocates.
