Prior to enlisting in the Marine Corps Jackson Acree, a native of Palmer, Alaska was a Wildland Firefighter. Now a US Marine Corporal, Acree, 21, is member of the Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon. He returned home to Alaska March 2, 2023. The unit is visiting Alaska to perform at various locations around the Anchorage area and during the opening ceremony of the Iditarod.
