U.S. Marine Corps Pfc. Leslie Cook, a Marine with Lima Company, 3rd Recruit Training Battalion, claims she's relieved to be ending this chapter in her journey of becoming a Marine. “I’m extremely proud of myself, and so relieved that this part has finally come to an end. I feel like now I am good enough to have the title, United States Marine,” says Cook at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego on May 6, 2021. Cook was one of the fifty-three females to graduate with the first female integrated company at MCRD San Diego. Delarosa was recruited out of Recruiting Sub-Station South Bay, Recruiting Station Orange County. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt. Sarah Ralph)
