A Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon, from Marine Barracks Washington, D.C., also known as "8th & I," performed during the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio on August 5. The performance supported the dual-district partnership between the 1st and 4th Marine Corps Recruiting Districts in order to increase awareness in support of recruiting operations. Other events during the engagement included a Marine on field to conduct the Hall of Fame Game Coin Toss, recruiters manned a promotional booth during the 3-day FunFest, and a Marine Corps Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps Color Guard presented the colors during the National Anthem.
