SHPE is a national organization of professional engineers who serve as role models in the Hispanic community and aim to become leading innovators, scientists, mathematicians and engineers. The Hackathon challenge is a 48-56 hour event that focuses on coding, hacking, software development, critical thinking and problem solving. Through a partnership with SHPE, the Marines are looking to unlock the potential of those who possess a fighting spirit that allows them to overcome adversity while staying abreast of ever-changing technology to win any battle that faces our nation.
