Second Lieutenant Carrie Yonge has her rank pinned onto her uniform by her grandfather, a former Naval aviator, after graduating Officer Candidate School, Aug. 6, 2016. From being cured of poor eyesight to facing financial and living arrangement uncertainty, Yonge conquered several obstacles in her life to earn the title Marine. Yonge is a plans officer with Plans and Research for Marine Corps Recruiting Command.
