Miriam Benor flies in a MV-22 Osprey during the 2016 Key Leaders and Educators Workshop at Marine Helicopter Squadron One aboard Marine Corps Base Quantico, June 23. Educators from states west of the Mississippi River visited HMX-1 during the aviation portion of their visit. While one group of educators were briefed on flight operations and toured the squadron’s hangar, the other group flew in an Osprey. Benor is an associate director of career development for Pepperdine University in Malibu, Calif.
