Taylor Walkenhorst and his team maneuver an obstacle at the Leadership Reaction Course (LRC) on Officer Candidates School aboard Marine Corps Base Quantico, Va., June 21 as part of the 2016 Key Leaders and Educators Workshop. Approximately 40 educators split up into teams of four to complete the LRC. The workshop includes events such as infantry patrolling, flight simulations and many others to provide a robust understanding of what it takes to create Marine officers. That understanding creates a mutually beneficial relationship between the educators and the Marine Corps and allows educators to guide their students who show interest in becoming Marine officers. Walkenhorst is a linebacker coach for Arizona Western College in Yuma, Az.
