Timothy Donovan is the first of the 39 educators to soar into a flight simulator during the 2016 Key Leaders and Educators Workshop aboard Marine Corps Base Quantico, Va., June 8. Educators from states east of the Mississippi River visited Marine Helicopter Squadron 1 during the aviation portion of their visit. While at HMX-1, the educators were briefed on flight operations, flew in a MV-22 Osprey and toured the squadron’s hangar. Donovan is a paramedic instructor for the National Medical Education and Training Center in Bridgewater, Mass.
