Master Sergeant Paul J. Fox was born on May
7, 1974 in Washington, DC. He enlisted
in the Marine Corps on 11 January 1992.
On July 8, 1992 he attended recruit training at Marine Corps Depot
Parris Island, South Carolina. Upon completion
of recruit training he received the rank of Private First Class.
In October 1992, Private First Class Fox reported
for duty at Marine Combat Training Camp Geiger, NC. Upon completion of Marine Combat Training he
received orders to MCB Camp Johnson, NC for the Enlisted Supply Basic Course
(MOS 3043) beginning December 1992.
In February 1993, after completing the Enlisted
Supply Basic Course, PFC Fox was assigned to 2nd FSSG, 2nd
Supply Battalion, Supply Company, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. He was assigned to the Sassy Management Unit
in the general account section. During
this time he was promoted to the rank of Lance Corporal and placed in charge of
a team in the general account section.
In
December of 1994 Lance Corporal Fox was transferred to TSD Supply aboard Marine
Corps Base Camp Lejeune, NC. In January
1995 he was promoted to the rank of Corporal.
Corporal Fox was placed in charge of the Consolidated Memorandum
Receipts (CMR) for the entire battalion.
In March of 1995 Corporal Fox received
orders and reported to Camp Hansen, Okinawa Japan. He was assigned to III MEF Special Operations
Training Group (SOTG). During this time Corporal
Fox took on the responsibilities as the S-4 chief for the unit.
Corporal Fox was released from active duty
on July 7, 1996. He then joined the
Active Reserve program on July 14, 1996 with orders to 3rd
Battalion, 14th Marines, Head Quarters Battery, Philadelphia,
PA. He began his tour as the property
chief for the battalion. On October 1, 1997
he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and became the Assistant Supply Chief. In July 1998 Sergeant Fox completed the
Sergeants Course at Quantico, VA.
In May
of 1999 Sergeant Fox received orders to Inspector-Instructor Staff, Site
Support for 4th CAG, Rations Co, Supply Co, 4th MED Bn
and 4th Intel Co, 4th HUMINT Group, 4th FSSG
Anacostia, Washington DC. Upon reporting
to the staff, Sergeant Fox was dual hatted as the Assistant Supply Chief and Fiscal
Chief. In addition Sergeant Fox served
as the Color Sergeant for the BN and performed numerous high profile events.
In July of 2003 Sergeant Fox received orders
to Recruiter School MCRD San Diego. Upon
completion of Recruiter School he was assigned to 1st Marine Corps District
PSRO1, Garden City, NY. Sergeant Fox was
promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant in March of 2004. Staff Sergeant Fox served as a production
recruiter and acting SNCOIC for Garden City, NY from 2005 to 2006. In Fiscal Year 2006 Staff Sergeant Fox received
nomination and was awarded meritorious promotion to Gunnery Sergeant.
On January 2, 2007 he was meritoriously
promoted to the rank of Gunnery Sergeant.
In July 2007 Gunnery Sergeant Fox applied and was approved for the MOS
8412, and became the SNCOIC for Central Sector, PSRO1, 1st Marine
Corps District. In January 2008, Gunnery
Sergeant Fox attended and completed the Career Recruiters Course at MCRD San
Diego.
In March of 2008 Gunnery Sergeant Fox
received orders and reported to Recruiter School MCRD San Diego as an
instructor. While serving as an
instructor Gunnery Sergeant Fox taught over 1500 students in the large platform
classroom. He was specifically
responsible for being the group advisor for 10 groups and graduating 45 Prior
Service and 85 non Prior Service Recruiters during his tenure as an instructor. In addition Gunnery Sergeant Fox served as the
SACO for Recruiter School from 2008 to 2011.
On September 2011 Gunnery Sergeant Fox
received orders and reported to 12th MCD, PSRS 12 to take on the
duty as the SNCOIC for Camp Pendleton.
While serving as the SNCOIC for Camp Pendleton, Gunnery Sergeant Fox
lead the nation in total joins and Annual Production Rate (APR) during FY12 and
FY13. On March 1, 2013 he was promoted
to the rank of Master Sergeant.
On June 1, 2013 Master Sergeant Fox was
assigned to PSRS12 Command Group as the Operations Chief. While serving as the Operations Chief, Master
Sergeant Fox was instrumental in the successful mission completion and closeout
for FY13 and FY14.
As of July 1st, 2014 Master Sergeant Fox
serves as the Recruiter Instructor for Prior Service Recruiting Station 12,
12th Marine Corps District aboard Camp Pendleton, CA. Master Sergeant Fox’s personal awards include
Navy Marine Corps Commendation Medal (2nd Award) and Navy Marine
Corps Achievement Medal. He is married
to the former Tarra Robinson of Alexandria, VA on October 24th, 1995. They live in Menifee, CA and have four sons:
Paul Jr. (16), Isaiah (13), Elias (12) and Jeremiah (10).
