Maj. Meier's Bio

Major Meier attended Officer Candidate School as part of the Platoon Leaders Class during the summers of 2001 and 2003 and commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in 15 May 2004. In June, Major Meier reported to The Basic School at Quantico, VA, as a member of Delta Company, 4-04 and subsequently the Logistic Officer Course at Camp Johnson, NC.

In May of 2005, Major Meier graduated the Logistic Officer Course and was assigned to Truck Company, Transportation Support Battalion, 2d Marine Logistics Group at Camp Lejeune, NC where he served as the platoon commander of 2nd Platoon.  While serving in this billet Major Meier deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 04-06.2.  After returning from deployment Major Meier was assigned to Landing Support Company, Combat Logistics Regiment 27 in February of 2006.

While with Landing Support Company Major Meier served as the Executive Officer and Operations Officer.  In August 2006, Major Meier was assigned to Headquarters Company, 2d MLG and deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 06-08.  While deployed Major Meier served as the Senior Watch Officer for 2d Marine Logistics Group from January 2007 to October 2007.

Upon his return Major Meier assumed command of Landing Support Company from October 2007 to February 2008.  In 2008 Major Meier executed orders to The Basic School where he served as an Instructor, Staff Platoon Commander, Basic Officer Course Executive Officer and Assistant Operations Officer at The Basic School. Following his tour at The Basic School, Major Meier subsequently attended Expeditionary Warfare School in 2011.  Upon graduation from Expeditionary Warfare School, Major Meier reported to 1st Battalion, 6th Marines, at Camp Lejeune, NC, where he served as the Battalion Logistics Officer and deployed with Battalion Landing Team 1/6 in support of the 22d Marine Expeditionary Unit from February 2014 to October 2014.  In June of 2015, Major Meier executed orders to his current position at RS Cleveland.

Major Meier is married to Rebekah Meier and has two kids, Jackson and Grace.
