Staff Sergeant Henriquez was born on 28 October 1983 in Santiago, Dominican Republic. He came to the United States in 1994 and was brought up in Brooklyn King County, New York. He graduated from Brooklyn High School in 2001 and after completing three semesters of college he proceeded to recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, where he graduated as a meritorious private first class on 25 October 2002.

After completing recruit training in October 2002, Staff Sergeant Henriquez attended Marine Combat training at Camp Geiger, NC. Upon graduating he then reported to Motor Transport School at Fort Leonard Wood, MO on 12 November 2002.

Staff Sergeant Henriquez then followed on to Logistics Vehicle System School and Vehicle Recovery School where he obtained the rank of Lance Corporal due to his performance as Honor graduate.  In April 2003, Staff Sergeant Henriquez reported to Battery A, 1st Battalion, 11th Marines Camp Pendleton, where he was assigned as an ammunition driver for the M198 Howitzer Gun Section 6. Staff Sergeant Henriquez was eventually sent to Headquarters Battery where he was reassigned as a wrecker operator conducting numerous light and medium vehicle recoveries. While in Headquarters Battery, he was promoted to Corporal and, on 1 November 2005, to rank of Sergeant. Staff sergeant Henriquez immediately assumed to role as the Platoon Sergeant for Headquarters Battery Motor Transport and Wrecker Chief. Throughout this period, Staff Sergeant Henriquez continuously conducted vehicle recoveries and led the marines in his Platoon.

In April 2006 Staff Sergeant Henriquez reported to Recruiter School, where he graduated and was later sent to perform his duty as canvassing recruiter at the same station where he was recruited out of (downtown Brooklyn, New York). During this time Staff sergeant Henriquez had the privilege of becoming a very successful recruiter.

Upon the end of his time as a recruiter, Staff Sergeant Henriquez received orders to 3rd battalion, 11th Marines on January 2010. Staff Sergeant Henriquez was once again assigned as the Motor Transport Platoon Sergeant and Wrecker Chief. In November 2010, Staff sergeant Henriquez had the privilege of participating in an Individual Augment as part of the 11th Marines Civil Affairs, which led to his deployment to Afghanistan with 1st BN 3rd Marines in support of Operation Enduring Freedom from 4 April 2011 to 12 November 2011. During his combat deployment, Staff Sergeant Henriquez performed as the Civil Affairs Chief and was later promoted to Staff Sergeant in 1 October 2011. In December 2011, Staff Sergeant Henriquez returned to 3rd Battalion, 11th Marines and was assigned as the Motor Transport Chief for Battery I until 30 May 2012.

On 1 June 2012, Staff Sergeant Henriquez reported to serve as TS Company 1st Platoon Sergeant until 28 October 2013. Staff Sergeant Henriquez currently serves at recruiting sub-station East Bronx as Station Commander.

His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal 1st Award, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal 3rd Award and The Good Conduct Medals 4th award.
