PALO ALTO, Calif. - San Francisco Marines recognize Jasmin Cardenas-Gonzales, a San Jose native and Everett Alvarez High School student, with the United States Marine Corps and Hispanic Heritage Youth Leadership Award during a ceremony at Stanford University, Dec. 2, 2015. The award was presented to Cardenas-Gonzales in recognition of her leadership within her school and her community. She demonstrated her leadership through her exemplary academic record, and the extensive amount of hours she's volunteered in her community.
