Decorated Iraqi War hero, Staff Sgt. Eddie Escamilla was awarded a free apartment for one year by the Trilogy rental community, located in the Cheltenham Township of Pennsylvania.

Escamilla was randomly chosen for the apartment from nearly 100 other applicants.  Each applicant entered the contest at Willow Grove Naval Air Station, located near Philadelphia, PA.

The Escamilla family moved in to a newly renovated two-bedroom apartment at Trilogy, which recently completed over $25 million in renovations and upgrades.  In addition to the apartment, Trilogy provided the family with all amenities including access to the 8,000-square-foot fitness center, 90 seat movie theater and concierge services.

“Being chosen to receive a free apartment for myself and family is truly a gift,” said Escamilla, a canvassing recruiter.  “It’s encouraging to know that businesses like Trilogy are supporting our troops as we continue to protect and serve our country.”

“We welcome [Staff Sgt.] Escamilla and his family to the community and we’re happy to provide them with a spacious, comfortable apartment to call home,” said Kim Metzger, director of leasing and marketing for Trilogy.  “This is the least we can do to thank a member of the military who has so valiantly served our country,” she added.

Escamilla served two terms of duty in Iraq earning himself the prestigious Purple Heart for being wounded during battle and the Bronze Star, which signifies valor under command.
