Commandant Rings NYSE Opening Bell

GARDEN CITY, NY-  General Michael Hagee, 33rd Commandant of the Marine Corps, rang the opening bell of the New York Stock Exchange in New York City.

Prior to the bell ringing Gen. Hagee gave a speech to assembled members from all the services at a luncheon celebrating the 85th anniversary of Veterans Day at the NYSE.

Following the remarks from Gen. Hagee, some guests were invited down to the trading floor for The Opening Bell ceremony. Other guests joined Gen. Hagee for the bell ringing. Private First Class Nathan Foersch, recent bootcamp graduate, and Colonel Warren Foersch, 1st Marine Corps District, Command Officer, were among the guests to participate in bell ringing.
